The Roof Of Africa
The Christmas holidays on the roof of Africa: a safari in northern Tanzania, then the ascent of Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) by the Lemosho route. The safari comes first, and it also prepares the body for altitude: Tarangire, with its baobabs and elephant herds, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Then the Lemosho route, through rainforest and moorland, across the Shira Plateau and up the Barranco Wall, to reach the summit at dawn. Dates (indicative): 26 December 2027 – 5 January 2028 Route: Arusha • Tarangire • Ngorongoro Crater • Moshi • Lemosho route • Uhuru Peak Level: demanding. A high-altitude trek with long walking days; no technical climbing. Flights: international flights not included: we recommend the flight, and each traveller books it directly with the airline or through an IATA travel agency. Price and detailed programme: to be announced. Write to office@global-dec.com to receive the programme as soon as it is published.
